In Sanskrit phurba is call ‘’ KILA ”. Phurba is a Tibetan word. Phurba is three sided peg, nail which is used in ritual ceremony associated with indo-Tibetan Buddhism. Phurba is also called magic dragger. It is believed that padmashambhava invented phurba. Padmashambhava used phurba in 8th centuary in opening of monastery where phurba is consecrate in ground. This is brass phurba which is specially made by fine artisan of Nepal. This phurba is mostly used in Tibetan ceremony. The top part is kartika which is made from brass. As we know , Tibet has always been a nomadic culture, tent used in Tibetan culture is very important. It is also belived the nail part of phurba is is carried out through the top part of tent.
